Volunteers With Rheumatoid Arthritis Sought to Test ACE Inhibitors

GenoMed is seeking volunteers with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) or lupus for a clinical trial to test whether ACE inhibitors are effective treatments.

GenoMed found that patients with RA or lupus tend to have overactivity of their ACE enzyme. ACE inhibitors are safer than most drugs used to treat RA and lupus.

GenoMed is a St. Louis-based medical genomics company whose mission is to improve patient outcomes by identifying the genes that cause disease.

Potential volunteers can contact Dr. David Moskowitz, GenoMed's Chief Medical Officer, by phone at (314) 977-0110 or e-mail at dwmoskowitz@genomedics.com.
